The Starfrost “Site Built” two-belt I.Q.F. freezing system enables you to individually quick freeze large quantities of loose products like Peas, Beans, Sprouts, Broccoli, diced Vegetables including French Fries and Strawberries. An infeed vibratory conveyor distributes the product in an even layer onto the 1st zone conditioning conveyor. This crust freezing zone conditions the product by passing it over conveyor tumbles to initiate true fluidisation and to re-distribute the product. Simultaneously, cold air is blown vertically upwards through the conveyor belt and product. This process ensures a continuous separation and fluidisation of individual product particles and, thus a quick surface freezing operation. The conditioned products are then transferred to the 2nd conveyor belt, operating at lower speed, for full freezing in a deep fluidised bed.
